COMING SUMMER 2022! The talented team behind celebrated Tobiuo Sushi & Bar in Katy will soon unveil Money Cat, a second concept serving New Japanese cuisine, expertly crafted sushi and warm hospitality. Similar to its sister restaurant, Money Cat will focus on world-class sushi and beautifully presented hot and cold dishes, along with striking pastry and beverage programs, demonstrating advanced technique, innovation and whimsy while incorporating global influences, locally sourced ingredients and fresh seafood from Japan’s Toyosu Market.
As Owner and Executive Chef Sherman Yeung’s first opportunity to build a project from the ground up, he looks forward to sharing his unique culinary vision in collaboration with his winning team, which includes Chef de Cuisine Jio Dingayan, General Manager Le Chau and Assistant General Manager Ashley Castro. “I feel it's the duty of those in the restaurant industry to share what we know about food, both with peers and guests,” says Yeung. “I’m excited to share what I’ve learned to provide a richer experience and appreciation of our food. And I’m excited to serve anyone who enjoys a great meal.”
The newly built out space will set the stage with a restrained, Japanese minimalist design, awash in warm woods, earth tones and sculptural lighting. Welcome daily for full-service dinner, guests will be greeted with an inviting wall of waving golden money cats.
